Another year, and another East Austin Studio Tour is almost upon us. This will be the fifth year that I have taken part in this event, in which artists throughout East Austin open their studios to the public for 2 weekends. In addition I will once again be hosting Gabe Langholtz, a very talented painter. See a couple samples of his work below or at www.gabelangholtz.com.
Dates: November 14-15 & 21-22
Time: 11 am – 6 pm.
Location: 1305 Glencrest Drive
I am excited to show the pieces I have created throughout the past year, including a series of animals I call the Piecable Kingdom, the largest group of self-standing pieces I have ever done.
The other major series I did in the past year is called the Natasa tales, a fictional account of a Yugoslavian girl from the 40’s. Below is the Winter House, which I appropriately finished in December of last year:
As promised, here are two of Gabe Langholtz’s work:
There are also many other talented artists in my neighborhood. We got together and created a map you can use to tour the 78723 neighborhood.
Hope to see you at the tour this year!
